Golfs
Aigle
Less than 30 minutes away, the nearest is the Golf d’Aigle, which is in fact the Golf Club Montreux. Located below our valley, near Lake Geneva, easily reachable in 30 minutes, this golf course benefits from the climate of the Rhône plain with a sensational view of the Alps.
It’s an 18-hole course. Its length is 6207 meters and its altitude is 395 meters. The club is open all year round, regardless of the season. It is often described as the most beautiful Golf in the Alps, lulled by fresh air and bathed in sunshine. It has the advantage of being flat and offers a very diverse and selective game.
The Golf Club Montreux celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000. It was inaugurated at the beginning of the century, already in its current location. The course is bordered by magnificent secular trees such as oaks, chestnuts, beeches, pines and birches.
Renovated in 2004 by a renowned architect in the field, the course has preserved its character. The flora was very dense; the architect was able to bring a more modern touch: the layout of the greens revisited, undulations, bunkers, mounds along the fairways; the appearance of ponds, deforestation to reveal the mountains as well as the extension of the circuits thus adapted to the starts of most championships.
Golf de Lavaux
45 minutes from here, the Golf of Lavaux is very easy to reach. In the heights of the charming wine-growing region, the estate overlooks the coasts that produce some of the best wines in the region.
Sierre
55 minutes from Champéry, the Golf of Sierre offers 18 holes and is built on 55 ha. It is bordered, like the Golf d’Aigle, by the Rhône. It is a route that respects the flora and fauna, where tree and flower species meet. It is surrounded by the banks of the lakes of La Brêche and La Corne. The Valais golf courses have a great richness of landscapes thanks to the surrounding mountains.
Aligned with the fairways, you can admire the foothills of Anniviers, Crans-Montana, even as far as Nendaz, Vercorin, or Nax. You will discover some majestic peaks such as Bella Tola, Bietschorn, Crêts du Midi, La Dent de Nendaz, Haut de Cry, Illhorn, Mont Noble or Torrenthorn.
Throughout the course, golf enthusiasts and those who like to stroll around will follow specially designed trails and admire a multitude of plant and tree species. Many animals living on the golf course and its surroundings are visible depending on the season and the time of day. Attentive athletes will be able to listen to the rustle of the wings of a large number of bird species.
Villars
50 minutes away, the Golf of Villars dominates the lower Rhône valley, at an altitude of 1,660 m, facing due south, facing the Dents-du-Midi and Mont-Blanc. Founded in 1922, it will captivate you with its magnificent view. The Club House welcomes you with all the necessary comfort and friendliness for members and visitors.
Composed of 18 holes, by 70, it is 5288 meters long. By holding a green card or a route permit, you will be able to access it easily. For training, you will find a sheltered practice and an approach green. From spring, from mid-May to autumn and from mid-October, the Villars Golf Club is open every day.
Crans-Montana
At a little over an hour…. From the top of its 1500m, the Golf of Crans-Montana overlooks the Rhône Valley. Thus, in front of you, you will find the highest and best known peaks such as the Matterhorn and Mont-Blanc. It was in 1906, surrounded by a majestic setting, that some golf pioneers decided to build the first course.
Since then, on these sunny coasts, to the delight of renowned players, the greens have not stopped growing. They let themselves be seduced by the landscapes of the place. His land has 4 courses. You will find the 18-hole course known as named after its illustrious designer, Severiano Ballesteros. This hole also hosts the European Masters, an unmissable event.
